Signal Extractor summarizes YouTube videos and X posts. We keep things simple: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, and nothing more.
What we collect
Links you submit. When you paste a YouTube or X link (or send one via our Chrome extension), we process that link to generate your summary.
Account details. If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password so you can sign in.
Saved summaries. If you're signed in, your summaries and chat messages are saved to your account so you can come back to them later.
How we use it
Only to run the service: generating summaries, answering your follow-up questions, and keeping your history available to you.
Summaries are generated with Google's Gemini AI, which processes the public content of the link you submit. Your account data is stored with Supabase, our database provider.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with third parties for advertising. We don't track your browsing, and we don't use analytics trackers.
Our Chrome extension only acts when you click it: it reads the URL of the page you're on and opens it in Signal Extractor. It collects nothing else and runs nothing in the background.
Your choices
You can use Signal Extractor without an account — nothing is saved to a profile.
Want your account and saved summaries deleted? Email us at hi@signalextractor.com and we'll take care of it.
Changes & contact
If we ever change this policy, we'll update this page. Questions? Email hi@signalextractor.com.
